Factory Fire Clean Up and Contents Restoration

Restoration Summary NLR was notified after a fire in a factory had completely halted work and caused significant damage to the structure and the inventory. The factory management had significant production quotas to meet and was keen to save whatever inventory could be restored, and restart factory operations as soon as possible. To satisfy the needs of the job, the NLR Restoration team had to remove soot from all the walls and ceiling, assess the inventory for salvageable items, clean and restore what could be saved, and collaborate with the builders working to fix the structural issues in the building. The first priority though, was making the area safe and helping production restart. Because of the size of the job, and the significant speed requirements, NLR brought on extra restoration technicians and divided them into teams for the project. Within a couple of days, the factory had been restored to almost full production, with the factory workers continuing their jobs alongside the restoration technicians. The project manager, Jacob Wright, then undertook the gigantic task of cleaning the entire inside of the factory. Over a couple of weeks, NLR had scrubbed every wall free of soot, assessed and restored all the inventory to a salable condition. The clients were extremely pleased with the results, and both the insurance company and the factory management was happy with the result NLR was able to deliver. Delays to the production schedule and disruption to the factory clients was limited. Lithium-Ion Battery Fire Damage Cleanup

Works Completed When NLR technicians got to the site, the water had stopped flowing, but there was significant standing water, on floors, ceilings and even in light fixtures. On our first visit, we moved the affected contents and set up the dehumidifiers and air movers to get as much water out of rooms and air as possible. On our return, technicians performed thorough checks to see what still needed drying. In this case, we had to lift many carpets to dry underneath them. This process often means the carpet and underlay can be saved, dramatically reducing costs for the occupant or insurer. Once the rooms were dry, they were wiped down and disinfected as necessary, and final checks were performed to ensure satisfactory results, with all the findings and actions going into a detailed report for the customer.

Stadium Cold Room Clean

Clean up Upon inspection, it was discovered that the dirty patches on the vertical and horizontal surfaces were not moulded, but was due to the frequent overspray and misting of beer in the room, which then spread and rested on surfaces around the area and solidified. The technicians first removed all contents from the rooms and then used a portable extraction machine to pressure clean all horizontal and vertical surfaces. The water was then extracted. Using Aeris cleaning chemicals, the walls were microfibre-wiped to ensure all contaminants were removed. Lastly, the refrigerator coils were given a good clean with a special Aeris coil cleaning chemical.

Shopping Centre Oil Clean Up

Clean up The bins were moved out of the way, and the kitty litter initially put down to absorb some of the oil was collected and disposed of off-site. the technicians first poured a specialised degreasing cleaning solution to help break down the oil when scrubbed. After the concrete was scrubbed of oil, using the truck-mounted pressure cleaning extraction machine, the technicians applied further cleaning solutions with a pressure spray. Once done, the oil was pressure hosed towards an extraction wand that extracted the resulting liquid. This was repeated few times until the area was satisfactorily cleaned.

Library Book Mould Removal

Works completed • Installed HEPA filtration units to filter the air of mould concentrations in the air during and in-between days of remediation. • Sealed air conditioning vents from spreading more mould. They were put back in place. • Clean shelves, surfaces, walls with HEPA vacuuming and wet wash wiping • Photographic documentation of book order, so that when books are returned, they can be put back in order
